How to do Toe Raises
StandingHoldBeginner
Toe Raises is a standing stretch for your ankles, feet and shins.
Step by step
- 1Lean your back against a wall and walk your feet out a little in front of you.
- 2Keep your heels on the floor and lift your toes up toward your shins.
What you should feel
Let the wall hold your back.
Form tips
- Pull the toes toward your shins. Keep your knees straight but soft. Feel the shins switch on.
- Feel the fronts of your shins gently working.
- Steady breath… soft shoulders.
Make it easier
If your shins tire, lower your toes for a moment, then lift again.
Coming out of it
Slowly lower your toes… and let your feet relax.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
