How to do Leaning 90/90
On the floorHoldBoth sidesIntermediate
Leaning 90/90 is a on the floor stretch for your glutes, groin and hips. Do it on one side, then switch.
Step by step
- 1Sit with your knees bent and your feet wide apart, hands on the floor behind you.
- 2Now let both knees fall over to the right, and lean back into your hands.
What you should feel
Let your right hip sink toward the floor.
Form tips
- Both knees bent at right angles. Press the right hip down toward the floor. Feel the rotation through both hips.
- Feel the outside of your right hip… and the inside of your left.
- Keep your chest open… shoulders soft.
Make it easier
If your knees feel strained, slide your feet further away.
Coming out of it
Bring your knees back to center… and rest your feet wide.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
