How to do Squat Stretch

StandingHoldBeginner

Squat Stretch is a standing stretch for your knees, groin and calves.

Step by step

  1. 1Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and toes slightly outward.
  2. 2Lower your hips into a squat, keeping heels on the ground.
  3. 3Press your palms together with elbows on the inside of your knees.

What you should feel

Let your elbows rest inside your knees.

Form tips

  • Keep your chest lifted and back straight. Gently push knees outward with elbows.
  • Feel your hips and inner thighs soften.
  • Let your spine grow tall.

Make it easier

If your heels lift, rest them on a folded towel.

Coming out of it

Place your hands down… and slowly rise up to standing.

Muscles it works

Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
