How to do Sit-Ups
On the floorFlowing movementIntermediate
Sit-Ups is a on the floor flowing stretch for your abdomen and obliques.
Step by step
- 1Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor.
- 2Put your hands lightly behind your head, with your elbows out wide.
What you should feel
Let your hands rest… no pulling on your head.
Form tips
- Lead with your chest, not your elbows. Feet stay planted on the floor. Lower slowly, one vertebra at a time.
- Slow on the way down.
- Keep your feet heavy on the floor.
Make it easier
If your neck or back needs care, curl up only partway.
Coming out of it
Lower all the way down… and rest your arms by your sides.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
