StandingHoldBeginner

Step by step

  1. 1Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart.
  2. 2Lift your arms straight out in front of you to shoulder height.
  3. 3Now tuck your chin, let your head drop between your arms, and round your upper back.

What you should feel

Feel the space open between your shoulder blades.

Form tips

  • Push your hands forward, spread the shoulder blades. Keep your hips stacked over your feet. Feel the upper back and neck lengthen.
  • Let your neck hang soft.
  • Breathe into your upper back.

Make it easier

If your neck is sensitive, keep your head level instead.

Coming out of it

Slowly lift your head… and let your arms float down.
