How to do Wall Plank
StandingHoldAdvanced
Wall Plank is a standing stretch for your abdomen, chest and shoulders.
Step by step
- 1Start on hands and knees with your feet close to a wall.
- 2Place one foot on the wall, then the other, and walk them up until your body makes a straight line.
What you should feel
Press the floor gently away.
Form tips
- Push the floor away, shoulders strong. Brace your core, hips level with shoulders. Feet press firmly into the wall.
- Keep your hips in line… steady and still.
- Breathe slowly… let your face stay soft.
Make it easier
If this is too much today, keep your feet lower on the wall.
Coming out of it
Slowly walk your feet down… knees to the floor… and rest.
Muscles it works
Move slowly and stop if anything hurts. This is general guidance, not medical advice; check with a professional if you're injured or recovering.
